MSG Consulting was founded in January 2016. That is quite recent, and yet … we have over 24 years of experience.
About 24 years ago my career in IT started as a clerk. And I have made the switch to freelance only in 2013. First in a start up company, but now I founded MSG Consulting.
In those 24 years I have worked for companies such as LMS, PIMC, Real Software (now Realdolmen) and Terumo Europe. And thus I have gained experience with clients like Fortis Lease (BE / NL), ABN Amro (NL), Océ (UK), Cedacri (IT), AGFA (WW), ANE (BE), Uratec (BE), Elia (BE), 50Hertz (DE) …
That career in IT started as a software tester and junior developer, but during the nine years real software, I stepped up to different roles like senior developer, analyst, program manager, implementation / integration specialist, but what’s in a name, let’s just keep it simple: consultancy .
Throughout these 24 years, MSSQL server was the main product I worked with on a daily basis from version 6.0 to 2019, we are talking about 24 years of product knowledge/experience. SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS. I also have experience with other software packages. SAP BPC (5.0 and 7.0, certification), MongoDB, RabbitMQ, RedisCache, development of MS tools such as VB, VB.net, C #, JavaScript, VBScript, XML, XSLT, XSLFO … And managing servers include RDP, SCOM, PRTG, Powershell and numerous tools for daily management and monitoring of server farms. For small environments to big environments (+1000 servers, +5 petabytes …) Of course such large environments, you don’t manage them on your own, but you work in a team.
